Tata Altroz facelift teased again: Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20 rival to get this feature

Tata Motors is getting ready to introduce the new and updated Tata Altroz facelift premium hatchback in the Indian market soon. The launch is expected to take place on May 22, 2025, and the company has already released a teaser showcasing the exterior design of the vehicle. And now, the company has released another teaser that showcases the interior and feature list. The bookings for the hatchback are expected to begin soon, Interested customers can book it online or by visiting their nearest dealership.

As per the new teaser, the interior of the Altroz gets a major overhaul with a redesigned dashboard, new features, tech and overall looks like it has taken inspiration from other new Tata models. The design appears much cleaner and more minimal, and the glossy finish on the dashboard now looks noticeably more subdued; and the air vents have a slimmer, more streamlined appearance. There’s also a white LED ambient light strip that stretches in between.

The interior will also include a revised climate control panel with a new touch-and-toggle interface, similar to systems seen in other Tata models. The centre console has also been reworked to accommodate these updates. Automatic variants will receive a redesigned gear selector, matching the layout used in other recent Tata vehicles. The updated Altroz now sports Tata’s latest two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, accompanied by a larger touchscreen infotainment unit which will likely measure more than 10.25-inch and a fully digital instrument cluster capable of displaying Google Maps. Additional highlights include a 360-degree camera system and a single-pane sunroof which can be operated through voice assist.

The new Altroz retains its split headlamp setup, now upgraded to full LED units, along with a new brow-shaped LED daytime running light signature and square-shaped main LED units. The front bumper has been redesigned with vertical fog lamp recesses and a revised grille. The overall silhouette remains the same, and the new model also gets flush-fitting illuminated door handles, further improving the aerodynamics.

At the rear, the Altroz features new LED tail lamps with a T-shaped motif connected by a full-width LED light bar. The updated rear bumper has a dual-tone finish for a sportier appearance. It also gets new alloy wheels with an EV-inspired design and it likely measures 16-inchs in dimensions. Other highlights include integrated spoiler, piano black finish, front and rear scuff plates and more.
The engine range is expected to remain same – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel, along with a CNG variant using a twin-cylinder layout. Transmission options are expected to include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT, depending on the variant.
