Over the weekend, the film continued to do well. It collected around Rs. 12 crore on Friday, Rs. 18 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 22 crore on Sunday. This brought the four-day weekend total in India to Rs. 71.25 crore net. It even left behind films like ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ and ‘Jaat’ in terms of ticket sales and footfalls.
Solid Monday performance
A film’s true box office strength is tested on Monday – and ‘Raid 2’ passed with flying colours. The Hindi occupancy across cinemas stood at 15.10%, which is considered quite good for a Monday.
Crossing Rs. 100 crore mark worldwide
At the overseas box office, ‘Raid 2’ had a modest run, earning around Rs. 10 crore gross. This took its worldwide opening weekend total to about Rs. 95 crore. The film is now set to enter the Rs. 100 crore club globally and will become the sixth Bollywood film of the year to achieve this, as reported by Sacnilk.
